Short posts with a big job: stop the scroll, set the mood, and send people somewhere. Each caption is written for its platform and its audience.

Client social calendars

At CannDelta, I write and manage monthly social media calendars for 5+ clients. These are ten of my favourite captions from three of them: two New York cannabis dispensaries and an Ontario BBQ caterer.

CannDelta client · Cannabis dispensary · Bronx, NY

Bleu Leaf

Target audience

Adults 21+ in the Bronx, Harlem, and Westchester, from first-time shoppers to regulars, who want a dispensary they can trust.

Tone

Proud, grounded, and honest. Story-led, with short lines that land, built around the founders’ journey from justice-impacted to owners.

Goal

Tell the brand’s story through the “From Cuffs to Keys” series and make the shop feel welcoming, local, and community-owned.

Bleu LeafCarousel · From Cuffs to Keys

Before Bleu Leaf existed, before the license, the store, the deliveries, our founders lived through exactly that.

The cannabis laws that shaped this city affected real people. Real families. Real futures.

This is the first chapter of a story we’re proud to tell. 📖 Follow along.

Bleu LeafStatic post

Jerome Avenue. 2034.

That address isn’t random. It’s not the result of a market analysis or a real estate algorithm.

Our founders chose the Bronx because the Bronx is home. When a neighborhood has been underserved and overlooked, building something here means something.

Bleu Leaf wasn’t dropped into the Bronx. It grew here.

That’s not branding. That’s roots.

Bleu LeafStatic post

Walking into a cannabis dispensary shouldn’t feel like a nightclub. Or a pharmacy. Or a place where you feel judged for asking a question.

At Bleu Leaf, we’ve built something different, a space that’s calm, helpful, and genuinely yours.

Because a dispensary that belongs to its neighborhood should actually feel like it.

Bleu LeafCarousel · From Cuffs to Keys

When you’ve experienced a system that didn’t treat you fairly, you build differently.

You build with care. With patience. With the person across the counter in mind.

That’s why Bleu Leaf doesn’t rush anyone. Why we answer questions. Why we don’t push products.

Our founders didn’t survive a hard chapter to go corporate on the other side.

This store exists to serve. That’s not a policy. It’s personal.

CannDelta client · Cannabis dispensary · Howard Beach, Queens

CannaFamily

Target audience

Adults 21+ in Queens and nearby, including visitors near JFK, plus anyone new to legal cannabis.

Tone

Friendly, playful, and welcoming. Short hooks, a little humour, and the warmth of a family-owned shop.

Goal

Drive store visits, deliveries, and blog reads while keeping the brand approachable and stigma-free.

CannDelta client · BBQ catering · Southern Ontario

BBQ Feast

Target audience

Corporate event planners, HR and office teams, couples, and hosts across the GTA and Southern Ontario.

Tone

Confident, sensory, and practical. Appetite-first language backed by clear proof of quality and reliability.

Goal

Fill the event calendar by answering common objections and showing why live-fire BBQ beats standard catering.

BBQ FeastBrand post

You can smell the difference before the first plate is served.

Our BBQs use real hardwood charcoal, creating that unmistakable smoke, aroma, and atmosphere that standard catering just can’t recreate.

It’s not just about cooking the food.

It’s about bringing the full BBQ experience to your event.

BBQ FeastCorporate catering post

One of the most common things we hear from corporate planners is, “Half my team doesn’t eat BBQ.”

Fair enough. We’ve got that covered. 🌱

Every event we cater can include a full vegetarian and vegan station, so plant-based guests aren’t left choosing between a side salad and whatever happens to be available.

Everyone gets a proper meal, and you get one catering setup that works for the whole team.

BBQ FeastMyth-busting post

Is BBQ using tech still considered “authentic”? We get asked that a lot.

The truth: We use computer-controlled smokers to protect the tradition, not replace it. When we’re catering for hundreds, consistency is everything. Every guest deserves the same perfect bark and smoke.

We still finish everything over hardwood charcoal and live fire. Old school flavor meets modern precision.

The Writers in Response Series brings together a group of writers and artists who have tried to express what we—the victims of the Beirut blast—have failed to confess.
